GUNG HEY FAT CHOY!

We're in the celebration mode!  Kindergartners went from celebrating the 100th day of school on Thursday to Chinese New Year on Friday.  It's the Year of the Dragon and we're celebrating!  We made dragon masks, colored Chinese children, wrote happy new year in Chinese, and learned to say good morning (Estelle taught us).  Estelle wore her native Chinese dress and brought fresh orange slices (typical of Chinese New Year) for the class to enjoy.  She shared her Chinese story books and demonstrated how to walk her dragon puppet.  Sophie brought her Chinese umbrella and Austin shared his lantern and dragon puppet.  We will continue our celebration this week as Chinese New Year is not over yet.  School is cool!
