Letter of the Day

My eager beavers recovered from Halloween very quickly and are ready to learn.  They worked hard today on the letter J, brainstorming words that begin with that letter, writing the letter on their chalkboards, and cutting and gluing in pictures that start with that letter.  They wrote two sentences using j words and are good at using proper spacing, capitalization, and punctuation.  As we write sentences, they are able to spell sight words for me and sound out words that are more difficult.
